Email Marketing has proven time and time again to be resilient to the quickly evolving trends of digital marketing, and marketers must keep email marketing as part of their marketing campaigns if they want to encourage a Call To Action (CTA) from their buyers. While there are many ways to have a successful campaign, email marketing should be part of every single campaign, and there are many reasons why it is recommended.
Additionally, tools like this are best described as a packaged deal. Think of them automatically collecting and tracking metrics and providing that information. It is made to be easy to understand, like showing who opened the email and how many customers clicked to look at the advertised product or service. It even allows you to separate your customers from targeting the right ones with the right products or services.
Email Marketing Tips
For starters, always—always— include your company logo in your email campaign because customers need to know where the email is coming from. The email should be personalized and include the owner’s signature to show authenticity. And finally, email messages should be informative yet concise. Emails are not meant to be as long as a novel, but they do need to get the message across and have appropriate Call to Action (CTA).
Apart from the basics, keep these tips in mind:
- Use authentic contact lists. In other words, you should not have bought your email list. When the list is authentic, the recipients directly benefit from what you are offering and are less likely to delete the email or let it go to spam.
- Even if the email list is authentic, clean it up periodically. Over time buying habits and needs change. If there is no engagement from a particular type of customer, removing them from the list is okay to make space for other customers that are more amendable to making a purchase.
- If there is an offer in your email campaign, include it in the subject line. Subject lines should be concise as well. If they are too wordy, customers might not even read them. Remember, the objective of an email campaign is to have customers open and engage with the email they received. If they do not believe that the email is relevant to them or has something they want, they might not open it at all.
- Use autoresponders for opt-ins. As marketers, it is the law that buyers consent to be part of an email list. A good practice is to have an autoresponse to send an email to the customer to remind them that they chose to participate and be part of the emailing list. Additionally, emails should have content that encourages the customer to stay as part of the emailing list by providing discounts or other rewards for signing up in the first place.
Today’s Takeaway
Email marketing is here to stay, especially for those that want to get a product or service front and center to their target market. It can be tricky, but fortunately, many platforms with automation systems and built-in analytics can help maximize all efforts to launch a successful campaign.
